Plants - Fungi - Mycelium
What is the mycelium of a fungus?
Correct!
The mycelium is the network of fine fungal threads called hyphae. It forms the underground or substrate-growing part of many fungi.
The visible mushroom is usually only the fruiting body. The mycelium can be much larger and absorbs nutrients from its surroundings.
