Which currency is still in use today and is considered the oldest in the world?
Correct!
The pound sterling is considered to be the oldest currency in the world still in use today. Its history goes back to Anglo-Saxon England. When King Æthelstan became the first king of a united England in 927, the pound sterling became the country's official currency. Although coins, banknotes and the monetary system have changed greatly since then, the pound has remained as a monetary unit. In 1971 Great Britain switched to the decimal system: instead of 240 pence, one pound has now been equivalent to 100 pence.
