Which goddess stands on the quadriga of the Brandenburg Gate?
Correct!
Since 1793, a quadriga designed by Johann Gottfried Schadow has crowned the Brandenburg Gate. Four horses pull a chariot driven by the goddess of victory, Victoria. A particularly exciting episode occurred in 1806: After the occupation of Berlin, Napoleon Bonaparte had the Quadriga brought to Paris as spoils of war. After Napoleon's defeat she returned to Berlin in 1814. The Brandenburg Gate itself was built between 1788 and 1791 according to plans by Carl Gotthard Langhans.
