An adult Triceratops was a many-ton plant-eater. Which order of magnitude is most plausible for how much dung it could produce in a day?
Correct!
This cannot be measured directly for Triceratops. As a rough estimate, about 50 to 150 kilograms per day is plausible, because modern elephants are large plant-eaters that also produce enormous amounts of dung.
Triceratops was far larger than a person and fed on plants. The figure is therefore not a fossil measurement, but a cautious comparison with modern large herbivores.
