How many fingers did Allosaurus have on each hand?
Allosaurus was one of the large predatory dinosaurs of the Late Jurassic. Unlike the later Tyrannosaurus rex, whose hands only had two fingers, Allosaurus had three fingers on each hand. Its forearms were also comparatively powerful and significantly longer than the greatly reduced arms of Tyrannosaurus rex. Allosaurus reached about ten meters in length and was a bipedal carnivore. In addition to his hands, one of his most striking features were small horn-like bumps above his eyes. He lived approximately 152 to 145 million years ago. Fossils are particularly known from North America. Its possible prey included stegosaurs and large sauropods.
Allosaurus had three fingers on each hand, clearly different from the two-fingered Tyrannosaurus rex.
