Astronomy and spaceflight - Solar system - Jupiter’s moons
What is the largest moon in our solar system?
Correct!
Ganymede, a moon of Jupiter, is the largest moon in our solar system. With a diameter of about 5,268 kilometers, it is even larger than the planet Mercury. Ganymede nevertheless has much less mass than Mercury because it consists largely of ice and rock. It is also the only known moon with its own magnetic field, and evidence suggests a vast saltwater ocean beneath its icy surface.
