Which inventor presented a motor carriage in 1886 that is regarded as the world's first four-wheeled automobile?
Correct!
In 1886, Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach presented a motorized carriage regarded as the world's first four-wheeled automobile. They installed a high-speed internal-combustion engine in a lightweight carriage. Daimler had originally conceived the engine as a versatile power unit and recognized early applications on land, on water, and in the air. In the same year, Carl Benz developed his three-wheeled Patent Motor Car in Mannheim. The two designs emerged at the same time but differed clearly in construction and layout.
