Which model is regarded as the world's first mass-produced automobile?
Correct!
The Benz Velo, introduced in 1894, is regarded as the world's first mass-produced automobile. Benz & Cie. built this lightweight and relatively affordable compact car, producing about 1,200 examples in total. The Velo developed the early Benz vehicles further and made the automobile accessible to a broader group of buyers through its simpler, practical design. The 1893 Benz Victoria and the 1886 Daimler motor carriage were important predecessors, but they were not produced in a comparable large series. The name “Velo” is derived from “Velociped.”
