What is insulin?
Correct!
Insulin is a hormone made in the pancreas. When the level of glucose in the blood rises, insulin is released and helps glucose enter the body’s cells, where it can be used, among other things, to produce energy. In this way, insulin plays a central role in regulating blood sugar levels.
Insulin helps body cells take up glucose from the blood.
