Why do dogs wag their tails?
Correct!
Tail wagging is an important part of canine body language. It can give dogs and people clues about how a dog feels; the tail’s height, speed, and position all matter.
A wagging dog is not always happy. Tail wagging can also accompany uncertainty, tension, fear, or possible aggression. A loose, broad wag often suggests friendly relaxation, while a high, stiff tail with short movements may signal strong arousal. The whole body language must therefore be considered.
