What is a connecting flight?
Correct!
A connecting flight is a further flight that continues the journey to the final destination after a landing at an intermediate airport. The traveler leaves the first aircraft at the connecting point and boards another aircraft or another flight. For example, on a journey from Frankfurt via Doha to Tokyo, the Doha-to-Tokyo segment is the connecting flight. Depending on the booking, the connection may involve the same airline or a different airline. A safe transfer also depends on the scheduled connection time, the specific airport, and any additional security or border checks. A connecting flight therefore differs from a nonstop flight, which reaches the destination without an intermediate landing.
