What is HDL cholesterol?
Correct!
HDL stands for high-density lipoprotein. HDL particles carry cholesterol from different tissues and from the blood back to the liver, where it can be processed further and partly removed from the body. For this reason, HDL is often called “good cholesterol.” In general, higher HDL levels together with lower LDL levels are considered favorable for cardiovascular health.
HDL helps carry cholesterol from tissues and blood back to the liver.
