What are carbohydrates?
Correct!
Along with proteins and fats, carbohydrates are macronutrients. They include sugars, starch, and dietary fiber, among other substances. Many carbohydrates are broken down into glucose during digestion, providing the body with an important source of energy. Dietary fiber is also a carbohydrate, but the human body does not digest it, or only digests it partially.
Carbohydrates include several groups of substances and are not simply different kinds of sugar.
