What is dietary fiber?
Correct!
Dietary fiber consists mainly of indigestible carbohydrates that are not digested, or only partly digested, in the small intestine and then pass into the large intestine. It is found especially in whole-grain products, legumes, fruit, and vegetables. A fiber-rich diet helps support normal bowel function and plays an important role in healthy eating. The WHO recommends that adults consume at least 25 grams of naturally occurring dietary fiber per day.
Dietary fiber adds bulk to food and is important for digestion and nutrition.
